It is official. The home buyers tax credit of $8,000 has been extended through June 2010. Home buyers must have a signed purchase agreement by April 30 and close by June 30th to qualify. Income limits have also been raised for single buyer up to 125,000 while a married couple can earn up to 225,000 to qualify.

Also approved is a credit up to 6500 for current home owners wishing to trade up. To qualify you must live in a home for at least five years out of the past eight. They also must close on the home by the end of June 2010.
