Fox Lake
July 3 and 4, with a parade starting at 10 a.m. at Grant Community HIgh School, 285 E. Grand Ave. July 3. After the parade, attendees can stop at Millennium Park, located at Rollins Road and Grand Avenue, to view an arts and crafts show, purchase food, listen to entertainment and watch the fireworks at dusk.
Round Lake area
Annual Independence Day celebration on July 4. Hosted by the Round Lake Area Park District, the event will include a community band performance of patriotic tunes from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Village of Round Lake Beach's Cultural Center Outdoor Stage, 2007 Civic Center Way.
Antioch
July 4th, Event kicks off at 8 a.m. for the 16th annual 5K Run for Freedom and Fun Walk. A parade begins at 11 a.m. Parade watchers can see the floats and bands on Orchard, Lake, Hillside and Toft streets.
Lake Zurich
The annual Lake Zurich Independence/Family Day kicks off at 9 a.m., July 3 at Paulus Park, 200 S. Rand Road, Lake Zurich. It will be a day full of activities, entertainment and food.
At 9 a.m., the park and beach open. The Taste of Lake Zurich and the beer and wine tent open at 11 a.m. Children's games will run from noon to 4 p.m.
From 3 to 4:30 p.m., Mystriss the Band will play. The B-Side Band will hit the main stage from 7 to 9 p.m. and the boat parade will be at 8 p.m.
Fireworks will start about 9:15 p.m.
Libertyville
The Village of Libertyville will have a fireworks display and the Libertyville Village Band will perform on July 4 at Butler Lake Park, on Lake Street west of Milwaukee Avenue, in Libertyville.
The band will play a concert of patriotic music at the Butler Lake Band Shell beginning at 7:30 p.m. The fireworks display will begin at about 9:30 p.m.
Lincolnshire
On July 3, activities will run from 4 to 10 p.m. The Lincolnshire Community Nursery School is hosting a children's concert from 4 to 5 p.m. The food court and beer tent will be open 5 to 10 p.m. Vintage and classic cars will be on display from 6 to 10 p.m. Musical entertainment will be onstage from 7:30 tp 10 p.m.
The Annual Lincolnshire Fourth of July 5K will start at 8 a.m. and a children's run will also take place. Registration is $30 for the 5K on race day.
The bicycle and stroller decoration contest will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m. The parade will be from 11 to noon. Children can Touch-A-Truck between noon and 4 p.m.
The Cardboard Boat Regatta is from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

During the Fourth of July weekend, Mundelein Community Days featuring activities, entertainment, games and food is taking place on Seymour between Courtland and Division.
The Fourth of July parade will take place beginning at 2 p.m. July 5.
On July 5, the fireworks display is schedule to begin at 9:30 p.m.

This weekend the Grayslake Middle school will be showing The Wiz. Performances will be Dec. 10, 11 and 12 at 7 p.m. The cast consists of 38 seventh and eighth grades and a band of 18 in this wonderful musical. Tickets can be purchase at the door for $5.

The Lake County Fairgrounds will be hosting the Equestrain Lifestyle Expo again on Nov. 21-22. The equestrian trade show will present products and services for current horse owners and those with the desire to own a horse. Horse's will not be on site, but will present leading specialists and researchers in the forefront of equine understanding.
